Vintage characterised by a mild spring and a fierce summer, with frequent rainfall and two hailstorms.
A process with short skin contact and very little pumping over was chosen. Interesting is the low alcohol content, which can rarely be obtained when the grapes are fully ripe. Dedicated to Luigi Malabrocca, a cyclist from the 1940s, who, unable to overtake champions Coppi and Bartali, managed, for two years running and by any means necessary, to win the black jersey destined for the last at the finish of the Giro d’Italia. He shared with his friends the caciocavalli and hams that were offered.
