Primmavera was born during the first year of the pandemic. It owes its name and its double ‘emme’ to the song Stop Bajon by Tullio De Piscopo, because the phrase resonated in my head: ‘… quando ascimm fora sarrà primmavera…’.
(the name has the double M because Aglianico always has something extra)
The 2022 vintage was delicate in spring and very hot in June and July; fortunately, the August hailstorm only grazed the Vigna Nuova vineyard, and some heavy rains preceded the harvest.
